About these Terms

These Terms govern your access to beprotectedyachting.com and your use of the information, consultancy and insurance related coordination services made available under the Be Protected Yachting brand. The brand is operated by BE PROTECTED GLOBAL PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202629155G), 36 Robinson Road, #20-01, City House, Singapore 068877 (the “Company”, “we”, “us”).

By using the website or requesting assistance, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Our role

We provide consultancy, information, introductions and administrative coordination concerning marine and yacht insurance. We are not an insurance company and do not underwrite, guarantee or independently bind insurance coverage.

Whether any activity constitutes regulated insurance advice or intermediation depends on applicable law and the relevant authorised parties.

No guarantee of coverage

All quotations, comparisons, illustrations and discussions are indicative until the relevant insurer or duly authorised party issues and confirms binding policy documentation.

Eligibility, premiums, exclusions, waiting periods, deductibles, limits and acceptance remain subject to the insurer’s terms and underwriting decisions.

Information and accuracy

You must provide accurate, complete and up to date information for any enquiry or quotation. Material omissions or inaccuracies may affect quotations or coverage decisions. You should review all insurer documents carefully and promptly report any discrepancies.

Third party products and decisions

Insurance policies are issued by independent insurers or authorised providers. Their policy wording, schedules, exclusions and claims procedures prevail over general website descriptions. We do not control their underwriting, pricing, acceptance, claim settlement or service decisions.

Fees and remuneration

We do not currently charge clients a separate fee for standard quotation comparison or introduction services. We may receive commissions or other remuneration from insurers or intermediary partners.

Any non standard paid service would require separate disclosure and agreement before it is provided.

Quotations and communications

Information sent through website forms, email or messaging channels is a request for assistance. It is not an application accepted by an insurer and not confirmation that coverage is in force.

Do not rely on a proposed start date until it is confirmed in writing by the insurer or authorised provider.

Scope and geographical limitations

Services and insurance products may not be available in every country or to every person. We may decline or redirect requests where local laws, sanctions, licensing restrictions or partner requirements prevent us from assisting.

Client responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing insurer terms and ensuring the proposed policy suits your circumstances, including territorial scope, exclusions, deductibles, coverage limits and disclosure obligations. Seek independent professional advice when needed.

Marine insurance particulars

Any vessel, cruising area, flag, use, crew, charter activity, valuation or safety information supplied must be accurate and kept up to date. Marine cover is determined solely by the policy issued by the insurer.

Claims and ongoing support

Claims must be submitted and assessed in accordance with the relevant insurer’s procedures and policy conditions. We may assist with communications or coordination where agreed, but we do not determine claims or guarantee payment.

Website information

We seek to keep information reasonably accurate, but website material is general information and may become outdated. Product descriptions, provider networks and examples may change without notice. Website material is not a substitute for binding insurer documentation.

Intellectual property

Website text, design, logos and other original materials are owned by the Company or their respective licensors. You may use them for personal information purposes but may not reproduce them commercially without permission, except as permitted by law.

Third party links

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. External providers operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third party website content or security beyond what applicable law requires.

Availability and security

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability or that all electronic communications will be error free. Please do not send sensitive records through unsecured contact forms.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for independent insurer decisions, third party services, or indirect losses arising solely from reliance on non binding website information. Any limitation is subject to mandatory consumer and other protections.

Privacy

We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, practices or legal obligations change. The version displayed on the website applies prospectively, subject to applicable law and any separate contractual arrangements.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, subject to mandatory laws that may apply in other jurisdictions. If you have a concern, please first contact us using the details below so we can try to resolve it. Courts and dispute forums with mandatory jurisdiction retain their authority.
