Be Protected Yachting grew out of Be Protected Indonesia, founded by Thomas Sabatier in 2018 to help expatriates understand and navigate insurance in Indonesia. Across Property, Health, Vehicle and Business insurance, our clients came to rely on us, and naturally asked us to insure their boats. Soon, owners came to us with vessels sailing under different flags, from Southeast Asia to the Mediterranean and beyond.
In 2026, we launched BPY, the international marine insurance division of Be Protected Global, based in Singapore. Led by Loris Stratigéas, a specialist in maritime law and complex yacht claims, the BPY team offers independent advice and access to insurance markets worldwide.
